The New American Home 2025 could be summarized into one word: more. The flagship exhibit of next year’s International Builders’ Show (IBS) will feature more levels, more openness and even more of the latest innovations in residential construction.
“[The unique lot] gives us a lot of cool opportunities to show some things that we haven’t been able to do in previous New American Homes,” said Dan Coletti, owner of Sun West Custom Homes, a company in the midst of building its fourth edition of the IBS show home.
The 2025 home will again be situated within the hillside luxury-home community of Ascaya in Henderson, Nev. Inside, the home will feature an abundance of glass and an open concept that allows for unobstructed views of the Las Vegas valley below.
An expansive living space of 9,423 total square feet will include five bedrooms, two of which are located on a second level where there is also a large multipurpose/game room.
Other unique features include an interior courtyard, an in-law/guest casita, two garages (a three-car and a two-car), and an 800-square-foot underground wine cellar and lounge.
“It really suits wine connoisseurs very well,” Coletti said. “It’ll be interesting to see people’s reactions to [the overall home because] it’s certainly unique.”
The project remains on schedule as it passes the midway point of construction and is expected to be completed in October. The official unveiling of the home will take place Feb. 25-27, during the 2025 IBS.
